Happy Birthday Logan!

So if anyone ever asked me what was my worst cake experience, it would be Logan's cake. I always bake and frost my cakes and then place them in the fridge to set. Well this particular cake was 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla. As I was placing the frosted cake into my fridge, my board broke and the cake dropped on the ground. Yes, my 14 x 18 sheet cake was all over the ground. Luckily the cake was scheduled to be delivered until the next day!

When I delivered the cake Logan was thrilled. His families tradition was that the birthday person turned the next age when they ate the cake. Being so excited, all Logan could say was "I want to eat my cake!!"

Haiti

This summer, Brian and I had the awesome opportunity to go to Haiti with an organization called Raincatchers. Every year Raincatchers takes multiple teams to Seguin Haiti, where "Raincatchers" are constructed. Since fresh water is extremely difficult to find in the area, a Raincatcher is a gutter system that is used to collect and store water as it rains. Over the course of the trip, our group of 20 was able to create and repair a total of 45 Raincatchers. We were truly blessed, making all of our flights and having great weather. This is an experience that we will never forget.

Adding Podcasts

Today I learned how to create Podcasts. I was able to enjoy the Ninja who explains what a podcast is and wanted to share my experience with you. (Yes, we really did watch this in class.) Enjoy!
